just one of them lucky moments.Left work a few min early went home grabbed bow and headed for stand.Started to rain was thinking of leaving if it got any harder.Looked up and there he was.not paying me no mind I stood up real easy and let it rip.shot was almost as perfect as can get at 18yds.He went less than 20yds and down.Thanks TimE1 with out you this would have never happened,and all you guys that gave me pointers on using a compound bow.

Nice first archery buck! Congratulations you are now addicted! It will be harder and harder to pick that rifle up now! There is nothing better then the sound your arrow makes passin right through his pumper!
Ill tell ya one thing.. if i was told all i was allowed to do is bow hunt for the rest of my life i would have no problem with it at all!.. It makes you a better hunter.. Anyone can shoot a deer or hog from over 50-300 yards when the animal has no idea you are scoping him out.. But to get him within 20 yards , stand up, drawback, and take the kill with out the animal having any idea your there is priceless and one of the best feelings ever. When i got my first bow kill last season it was just the greatest feeling.. I was shaking so bad i could not climb down from the stand for 45 mins.. Shot hogs with a gun and nothing like the bow hunting kill feeling!.. ONce again good job hellbilly!
