My hunt was blown yesterday. I had the old mama doe and her 2 spotted fawns underneath my stand, but they aren't weaned yet, so she got a pass. Then I had 8 hens walk in on me, but, just as I got ready to take the biggest one, my FIL and his pals decided to hold a friggin full volume convention in the middle of the back yard and spooked every single critter away. It was then that I noticed "Elliott" the narly-horned 5pt as he bolted back into the thick stuff about 30 yards from my stand. He was on his way in when the old fart convention began. Here's a pic of him the night before.
Woke up with a headache this mornin and didn't get out there. Goin to check out another spot with Horsefly this afternoon.
