Seeing some on some public land around us. I think the rut is seriously late this year due to the dry weather. I think the latest cold snap turned em on.

Went yeasterday and had a doe come in right under me and was feeding. About 10 min's later I see a tree thrashing around 40 yards infront of me. It was a nice 8 point, all I coule see was his rack and his toung licking the branches. after a few min's the doe had enough of his crap and took he buck ran after her never giving me a shot. A few min. later the tree started thrashing again I thought he returned. Nope it was a spike. I packed up and headed home. I coulden't take the cold and called the trip off early. I'll get him next year.
