SOUNDS LIKE FUN I MISS THE GOOD OLD DAYS OF DOG HUNTING....THE ECONOMY WUST BE AFFECTING THE DOG GUYS BECAUSE OUR CLUB IS UP AGAINST THE BIG HORN CLUB AND I HAVE NOT HEARD A RACE OVER THERE ALL SEASON.

It is dave. Alot of guys are only hunting a few times per week that use to hunt everyday of the season or selling out of dogs all together. Dog hunting might be a southern "redneck" style of deer hunting but it has turned into the style of hunting that is by far the most expensive. Between gas, dogs,wear and tear on the truck, and clubs dues it would be much cheaper for me to give it up and stand hunt exclusively.
I HEAR YA. I HAD 14 HEAD OF WALKERS AND A KENNEL AT MY HOUSE AND IT WAS WORK BUT LOVED TO HEAR AND SEE THE DOGS IN ACTION STILL WOULD BE DOING IT BUT A DIVORCE AND THERE GOES YOUR WHOLE WORLD. BUT STILL GO WHEN SOME OF MY FRIENDS INVITE ME. THE MORE YOU CAN RUN THEM THE BETTER THEY GET AND THERE IS NOTHING LIKE A BAD ASS PACK OF HOUNDS, SO WHEN THEY HIT A TRACK ITS GAME ON AND YOU KNOW WE ARE GOING SEE THIS THING AND IF EVERY ONE CAN SHOOT IT WILL BE ON THE GROUND SHORTLY. KEEP DOING IT AS LONG AS YOU CAN BECAUSE IT MAKES FOR A LIFE TIME MEMORIES ESPECIALY WHEN YOU CAN PASS IT ON TO YOUR KIDS.

Amen brother,I'm so torn up now about the cost of going I could sell out to but my sons love for it keeps me going forward. I would go nuts without my dogs.
Well I will be hunting through the rest of this week and all next week. I've got several bucks picked out by the highway to hunt if I can break myself away from dogging enough to kill them. We've been messing around trying to jump them but I am close to trying to still hunt them.
