Yes in perry. Hickory mound is harder to hunt when the water levels are high but the deer are concentrated on the islands left out in the swamps. A good amount of the bucks from our lease migrate there after we get to running dogs the first few weeks of general gun season.
My friends use to hunt Cherry Island with dogs 40 years ago. They use to camp right out in the woods on a spring.
