I hate to let the team down but I held off shooting a 4 pt yesterday afternoon hoping to see a bigger buck. He came out like billy bada$$ running does and yearlings off the stand and I thought he was bigger than he was until I saw his head and realized he's the same tiny 4pt I've already shot and then later missed, so I felt sorry for the dumb buck and let him walk. I also ran doe and bigger buck off my stand yesterday because I was late getting in the spot (5:30). Today I will be in there around 4:30 if the rain doesn't keep me at the house.
My buddy saw a small buck chasing a doe this morning and I saw a yearling by itself this morning so signs of the pre-rut are starting...
