I stand behind what I said last time. Mix it up.I'd mix more peas, rye, oats, wheat and turnips. Plant them together. The peas will shade the rye and stuff and help bring it all up and the turnips should last later into the season.

Plant winter peas again but plant forage oats or wheat or rye grain as a mix. Use milorganite to keep deer off the peas until they get some growth to them also Ive seen guys use a scarecrow for that purpose also. The lime issue is not an overnight thing it will take a while for the lime to work and probably several applications, but it will be worth it when you get it right. Some stuff will grow good without an optimum ph,but it is best to try to get it as neutral as possible.

Definitely want to make sure that you use both the powdered lime and the granular lime. The powdered stuff will work immediately, while the granular stuff will dissolve over time.

That's so true. Them deer just love the taste of Round Up in the mornin. Better than any coffee a mere mortal man could ever brew up.
