there is such a thing as trespassers. Aways wear orange. You can be 'DEAD' right on private land but I prefer to be safe.

My family spend most of our time on our property just planting flowers and some vegetables... all for enjoyment.
We all spend some time shooting on the range at the side of the property with our rifles and handguns.
We don't spend much time hunting on it. I go sit out on the ladder early morning and evening watching animals and birds but rairly hunt. I've only shot 2 hogs on this property in 7 months. We do go walk around frequently so maybe we should all wear orange caps when out. I just wear an orange cap most of the time as the vest gets hot. I guess I'll look for something thats not so hot for us to wear.

I will not let my kid out of the truck w/o an orange hat at minimum on. Usually a hat and vest. Granted I hunt public land, and a lease with other members. Orange doesn't spook big game so that whole theory is bogus

x2 you sure ain't gonna hurt nothing by wearing orange. The only time i don't bother with orange is when i hunt at night with my dogs.

I don think it spooks them per say but I think if you're on the ground with it on then they realize you're a danger. I've wore a vest for the past 5 years and had way too many bucks run up to me and double back. Anyone in my truck will have one on in our woods.
