Is it a requirement to wear safety orange vest while hunting deer on provate property with modern rifle?

Nope. Orange rule only applies to public land. However its still a good idea

Okay thanks.
So it is required only during deer season on public land.
How about during small game season on public land?

BTW. I don't wear a safety vest as it gets hot but hunting or not I always wear a safety orange hat when out in the public land.

Orange is only required for hunting deer(on public land). I have a Remington hat that is like 1/2 camo and 1/2 orange that I wear all the time in just about all seasons except turkey
