I usually get alot of stuff at walmart for the season. I went to get some tinks 69 and renew my license but when I got there the entire sporting goods area was taped off and completely empty, no shelves or nothing. They moved the sporting goods area and when I got there they only had maybe 5 boxes of ammo, 3 scopes, a couple of slings and that's it. No guns or anything else hunting related. I talked to someone who worked there and they said that they weren't gonna carry anything hunting related anymore. :die:
They also weren't gonna issue any licenses at all. I did'nt think to ask about any other stores so I'm hoping it is just this one down south. I don't think they sold alot of hunting stuff at this store due to all of the fishing in the area. I usually get a good deal on stuff at the end of the season at this store. At the end of last season I picked up 4 moultrie 5mp game cams for $50 each. I'm pretty bad about buying stuff spur of the moment so I'll probably save a few bucks. A few years back I went into a walmart in Ga. the night before the season to get a license and walked out an hour later down $800 and with a cart full of useless stuff that I really did'nt need. I probably should send them a thank you note on the store down here. "lol"

I would call and talk to a store manager to find out the scoop. Something doesn't seem right. I love end of season sales too. Wally World and Dic k's always have good deals
Which Walmart were you at?
Florida City at the end of the T-pike. They had everything else from sporting goods including camping gear. Gonna go and talk with someone tomorrow since my office is right there.
The wal marts here in pasco are really starting to suck when it comes to hunting and fishing supplies. First they got rid of the guns and now some dont even carry camo clothes anymore. Its getting worse every year they have less and less hunting and fishing stuff. Pisses me off.
