So they are good from one state to another?

yes they are transferrable. hunter safety course also is an acceptable document for your cwp. you can send in a copy of your hunter safety card and your fingerprints, application and money. you dont HAVE to take a cwp course, but they are insightful and recommended.

It is a very god idea to take the class whether you "need" it or not. I took it in 2002 and picked up on a couple things.
You can do the classroom part of it online now, then do your range day

Alot of states won't sell you a lisence. can't buy a archery stamp in Ga. with out one. does not matter how old you are.
