to me thats the most important sense when hunting hands down, next to smell.
You can smell the deer walking up to you? LMAO you got the nose of a bloodhound 😆
I think you meant sight
i can smell hogs before they come in. i can smell alot. an oldtimer told me.. before you walk into the woods.. stick your nose up and take a couple deep breaths through your nose.. that smell will stay there.. then when you are hunting you can smell diferent things and changes.. trust me it works.
Might have to try that. :toast I know you can smell hogs from a mile away. Have you noticed if you can smell deer comin in?
musky smell.. as long as when you step into the woods you take like 5 deep deep breaths through your nose you will trigger your senses.. then when you get a different wind scent you will notice.. i notice it alot.. its the same thing deer use.. humans have it also but dont use it or cant use it fully or just dont know how to use it. all good hunters use their nose.
Agree with Crock. Smell and sound are the two big senses I use when scouting. Quite often I can smell a rub and/or a scrape before I locate them. Strong smell of persimmon or pine = rub. Pizz = scrape. In the stand it is sight and sound though.
