On my way home from Mayo Sunday morning, I stopped at a little place in Inglis for breakfast. After I ate and paid, I was walking out and a guy seated by the door asked me if I'd had any luck in the woods (still had some camo on and a blaze orange hat). We talked a few minutes and he mentioned they had seen 3 bears in that area in the last few days, mentioning Gulf Hammock WMA. The bears will be all over in the next few years!

I've never seen one personally, but I've heard more and more reports of them over the past couple years, all over the Southeast. Seems like they are starting to take over.

"Gobbler Inn" or something like that. I'll make it a regular stop either coming or going up to the lease. If I take the I-75 route, it's the same distance but about an hour faster. But the trip down through Chiefland, Inglis, Crystal River, Homasassa, etc. is just a nice ride.
