OK so I don't have a lease (cant afford it on my salary 🙂
I am stuck hunting WMA's here in Florida.
I want to do some pre-season scouting hopefully to improve my hunting odds this season
I am interested in buying a Game Cam, and setting it up on a WMA. However I am afraid that some other hunter will see my cam and either steal it, or the SD card, or both. I have read that some companies make a "Theft Proof" device or box to help secure your game cam from theives.
Does anyone have any suggestions to which ones work, which ones should I buy? Or should I just stay away from putting up a game cam in WMA's altogether?
Thanks
G
Don't confuse hunters with scumbags. The woods are full of scumbags that steal, hunters don't steal and respect what is not their's.
My appologies to all the Hunters!
When I said "I am afraid that some other hunter will see my cam and either steal it, or the SD card, or both", I meant to say "I am afraid that some crud sucking scumbag will see my cam and either steal it, or the SD card, or both".
Much better. WMA's are slap full of trash,be careful.
You just never can tell...I would not put one out on public land. Heck they are stolen on your own plot/lease by others too. That is why when you don't have full control over the access to the land you buy cheap and whatever works. I don't need a 8 megapixel pic to tell if it is a 4 or 10 pointer or if it is a hog or a deer.
Tomorrow ONLY at Bass Pro...a twin pak 2 cams for $80, I am going to get those, steal them if you want to.
