Went to fill my feeder last week and found it smashed on the ground. It quit working and I guess the wieght of the corn over time snapped the cable. It was an American Hunter from tractor supply, went to buy another on and they didn't have any.So I was going to buy one on line from bass pro and read the reviews on it and everyone who commented saif they were junk and didn't last long.Checked cabella's and same thing, all reviews said they ucked. Anyone here use them? What is a good feeder that lasts?
i use all moultrie. there in turkey creek i have been using the factory reconditioned 5 gallon . buy them for $19.99. with a year warranty. only down side is they have just basic slingers. photocells. daylight and 1/2 hour before sunset. but , i check those weekly. in georgia a use 2 tripod feeders and some gravity feeders(homemade)
moultrie and castaways. castaways are pricey but nice.
Ditto on the five gallon Moultries.
Tractor supply by me just got their hunting stuff in. I have the same feeder and have been using it for a solid year and haven't had to even change or charge the battery. For a cheap feeder it works great, and I would buy another one any day.
