well for bow you can harvest does on public or private property.. so you got a good chance there.

That aint true on all WMAs there crock

It oughtta be though! I know you can no longer shoot does in Citrus WMA and I never have been able to wack any baldies in Richloam. Darn shame too...I see lots of them and not so many bucks. Tells me the does need thinning and bring the ratio back in line.

Or, maybe I'm just in the wrong spot, lol.

There are some wma's that are really bad. I average seeing around 20+ does a day in Citrus. Some of these leases are bad too. When you are seeing spotted fawns 9 months out of the year, that is the first sign of too many does. Right now I've been seeing them in my lease since March, thru as late as a week ago.
At my old lease in Jefferson county, the first year we were seeing the big herds of does. Between us and the 2 leasee's next to us, we shot 17 the first year(that we know of). After that it got in check and we actually had more bucks on camera than we did does

That corner piece is slap full of deer. There are some bruisers in there. If I knew it wasn't going to be so wet in the future, I would re-lease it

If I ever released that I would do it different. I would spend a little more money to keep the members down to like 2-3 people and not allow 4 wheelers at all. Heck you could walk or ride a bicycle to any of the spots. I would just hunt the roads and have no feeders. Just put a few tri-pod stands on the roads and scatter corn every time I went up there. You could stack the deer up

Drove by that lease a week or 2 ago and it had still not been leased out. There was a big sign on the corner of 59/98 that said hunting land for lease with a number (mincey) If you ever start thinking about releasing that parcel definately let me know.

Isn't that the land they want $12-13 an acre for? That seems really high, as we pay less than half that across the river from there for our large dog hunting tracts. When I pass by there going down 98 I have seen their sign for awhile now.
