I became very fond of the Safariland high level retention holsters after having snaps become un snapped due to vines/branches/crawling under barbed wire etc. It's nice to know your pistol will stay with you no matter what kind of tangle you may go through. Unless familiar with them somebody would practically need a chainsaw to grab your gun. Great for hunting, they are not cheap or very concealable.
I usually use the key and not have to crawl under barbed wire when hunting... Just saying :taz But I will argee with the vines unsnapping
:saluting
IWB Holster kimber ultra carry
I'll probably get ripped for it being too small, but I usually carry a 380 right in the vest pocket of my speed harness (if I'm staying in the stand). Its better than nothing and comfortable while sitting in a small stand. If I'm on foot the entire time however, I take the 45 and use a paddle holster.
Pack a derringer!

"USE A KEY" GEE why didn't I think of that? :ahole Oh that's right, because there were few if any locks and NO keys. Gates few and far between. Besides fat guys love to try and climb over/under barbed wire. If going under a couple wires would cut down on an hours walk in the dark spooking game the whole way, if the wind happens to be blowing the wrong way (pretty much all the time), I"ll stop/ drop/ and roll, but thanks for the insight! :offtopic
