I used to carry a ruger sp 101 loaded with those cci shot shells, approx 135 # 9 shot, after seeing that snake, I doubt they would penetrate enough to do anything but make it more pissed off. I could try them in a larger caliber 40, or 45 but worry about how they feed in a autoloader. do they come in a larger shot size like 6's or 7 1/2's. anybody ever use them on a snake of any size? how did it turn out?

glad you didn't get bit,i had a similar run in with a five and a half foot rattle snake deer huntin this year, and a big cotton mouth last year,i never used to wear snake boots,but i do now
