So i was turkey hunting today and didnt have any luck so i decided to look for some hogs. I walked about 100 yards behind the tree i was sitting under and nothing. So im walking back and i raise my foot and something catches my eye. I freeze as this 6 foot rattle snake is coiled up under my foot that i havent placed down yet. So i freeze with my foot up at it turns and looks at me. Im like OK either hes gonna bite me or i need to stay put until he moves.
It was either i kill him or he bites me. It was literally those options. I drop my shotgun off my shoulder (as im standing there with my foot still up) and put 00 buck in his head. He got pissed and i got him again at he was about to strike.
Now before i headed out i looked at my snake boots and my regular hikers. I decided to put on the snake boots. Thank god. And i never owned a pair. Iluv2hunt gave me a free pair. And this saved me alot of trouble today. And i cant thank him enough..
