Just my experience.....I have seen AND killed many hogs during rain....for whatever reason it gets them up and moving....I have also seen a few deer during those times, but never killed one, and come to think of it, they were all doe....but they were moving.

Running dogs however during high wind is a huge PITA

go for it. won't get anything from home. I just hate wearing rain gear, I get so overheated walking in it I sweat like i'm in a sauna, so i just go without and bring a change of dry clothes. avoid cotton clothes. polypropylene and light wool keep you warm when wet and are quiet. I hope to get out this weekend, rain or shine

If you dislike raingear, invest $50 in a set of Frogg Toggs. They are very light weight and breathable. It is a very thin material and you won't sweat like you do in PVC rainwear. It is worth it

are the frog togs noisy? I never minded being wet, but up north when wet/cold windy it's a problem, unless the temp gets bellow 50 I'm not too woried, especialy if stalking. when in a stand in the rain I usualy use waxed cotton garments and a tree umbrella if it's really pouring.
