I have only been to Corbett a couple of times, most recently about 2 weeks ago. It's like a giant swamp out there. Nearly the whole place is under water. I have a lifted Dodge ram on 35's and it's not even close to what I need for that place. But I just dont know where else to hunt in the South zone, or any zone that is fairly close to me. I have a bout 5 acres in Fort Drum that backs up to a bunch of land that nobody really goes on, but I hate to hunt someone else's property and get busted. Where do you hunt since you live in Okeechobee? Thanks,

Chris

you dont have to hunt anyones land.. just put a feeder on your land and the game will come from there to your feeder.. nothing wrong with that.

I hunt private property in Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee counties. It may be too late now but you can always put in for some quotas hunts. There are some good WMA around.

there are great wmas around there! +1

I never got drawn for any of the Quota's I put in for. And the property I have in Fort Drum is wide opened and cleared. My grandfather lives on the property and I have several family member's that come to visit him every week for a few days. So hunting my own property there is pretty much out of the question. The property that backs up to it is huge. And the only people i ever see hunting it are a couple of teenager's that hunt hogs on it.

A couple of mile's east of 441.. I forget the name of the road. It's only a couple of minute's from the Gas station/convenience store on 441. The property has been in our family around 30 or more year's im pretty sure.

Im really not sure to be honest. I know if you leave the gas station and go south on 441 just about a quarter mile it will be your first left, it curve's around, goes over a small creek, then it's your first left again. Long road with nothing but woods on both sides.
