There is a nice campground right there at the river on 98 in Newport. I got the December hunt so find me a deer for my hunt! :smartass

When you are going West on 98, it is on the right hand side right by the St Marks river as you come into Newport. Some guys brought their 5th wheels there last year and stayed there(my old lease was only 9 miles from there). We ate Thanksgiving lunch there and it is a really nice place. Bath house, playground for the kids, and a boat ramp also. Also there is a Best Western in Crawfordville. Either the campground or the motel will be about the same driving distance to the hunting spot
Campground reasonably priced?
I'll be there for achery 11/2 -11/6. Been looking for a place to camp, going to check out Newport Park. I'll be in a lifted white Silverado, if yall see me say hi. I will also be there for general Gun 12/10 - 12/12. Never been over there, looking foward to it.
