I have thought about getting one myself. Its pricey but I am getting a bit tired of paying all the fees. And yes... it exempts you from all the extra fees and what might be brought up as a fee later. Its sad when you have to start factoring in in around 20 years I wont need to pay for the basic licenses anymore. LOL.

At a $100/yr for a Gold sportsman license for an adult it seems like a deal but if you take into account the inevitable rise in fees coming in the future its going to be a much...much better deal.

I don't know if I'd buy my kids one or not. My oldest boy always hunted with me now I can't pay him to.I think I'll wait till my twins get older and make sure they love hunting as much as me first. I'm to old for it to do me any good now. The cost of hunting is just getting rediculous,if it gets much higher I may just resort to outlawing.

I am the same way. My son is so damn hyper he hasn't been able to sit still long enough to prove to me he has it in him yet. Ironically, I managed to kill a hog with him with me last year. That was after he completely disassembled every buckle on my back pack

Jeff, I don't think you gotta worry bout those two youngins of yours. I'd say they got it in their blood
