I finally found a source for grass shrimp. It is in Grove Park between Hawthorne and Gainesville. Call Dale at 352-234-9918 for directions. She normally has plenty but call ahead 'cause they can run out fast. Also, take a look a the set up she recommends for keeping them fresh and lively. I bought one and it works like a champ. She even showed me how to hook the shrimp so it looks natural. I fished Newnan's Lake this past Wednesday and caught a mixed bag of shell crackers, bluegills, crappie and channel cats.

I just catch them in the shallow weedy shoreline with a bait net.
It only takes few minutes to catch a dozen or two.
They are great for catching breams.
