It was sprinkling at daylight and it is still coming down at about 10am. This is the 1st real rain in our part of Washinton County in several weeks. Have been working up a food plot for several weeks and it was hard as concrete to begin with. Used an offset harrow several times then hit it with regular disk a few times(wasted a lot of fuel), put out 13-13-13 on Friday and then planted Buck Forage oats Saturday morning with the grain drill, had a promise of rain on Sunday that didn't materialize but this morning things are looking good! Rifle season opens Thanksgiving Day in this part of the world, gives us about 7 weeks to have a fall plot up and drawing critters. Woods are still dropping acorns, soybeans and summer plots are winding down,a new oat patch ought to do the trick. Treefarmer

I believe there is more coming your way. That storm sat on top of my house for 2 1/2 days.

Well it wasted our permit. 2 days my wife had off for Charles Bronson archery and it rained from Friday thru to Sunday night. Well on the brighter side the river is flooding houses so the air boat trails will be wet.
Went out to toso Monday for this upcoming week end ( i am the guide or mule this week end for an old friend who just had his knees and a shoulder replaced) Trying to find him a close stand but most of the place is one to two foot under water.

So be carefull what you wish for.

We still need a tropical system to park itself over N. Fla. It is the driest I have ever seen for this time of year in 35 years of hunting up there. None of the creeks, flag ponds or sloughs have any water in them. It rained good Sun/Mon, but I bet all that water is gone by now

For central thats what this was. Both rivers flooding not to damaging on the large scale but if we get more it could set records.
