Since it’s been such a wet year most of my plots have been under water or impossible to get to with anything without a jon boat. Here is a pic from march and it looked this way most of the summer.

Well it finally dried out enough to get in there and I took a “Mental Health Day” from work and spent last Friday in the woods. Lots of cleaning up the plots and and disc-ing, planting, rolling and cleaning up the lanes. Mineral block was completely gone Pine Row plot and they have dug around where I put it and there was 1/3 of the block left at the PB Plot which is abt mile away so I guess I should put two out on that property since they use it more.

Here is the mix I used.

Tractor/trailer forgot to get a pic with the roller tied on top of the disc

There ain't nothing better for your "mental health" than a day or two preparing a food plot!
I like the looks of your PB Plot best, compared to the Pine Row plot. However there is so little growing under the planted pines that any kind of fresh green will probably be a great draw for Bambi and company. In fact they may destroy a plot like that in a night or two after it comes up. The PB Plot appears to be a little more "deery" with the oaks and palmettos in the pictures. You can't have too many food plots, keep the forum posted on how the plots progress.

This is a food plot I planted in mid Aug. Throw n Grow mixed with a little soybean. No soil sample, just added one 40lb. bags of lime and one bag of 10-10-10 fertilizer.

Before doing anything.

After working the soil

Three weeks later
