2nd Phase of Ducks started out really good . One of my targets for this season was a Wigeon . Last week did some scouting and found where they were hanging out . Decoys in the water and waiting for shooting time . As we waited for daylight me and my 2 buddies talked about our hunting adventures . The many years we have hunted together and all the fun we have had . Time went quick and it was game on . Well like I mentioned before my main target was Wigeon . I didn't have to wait long for my targeted duck to come . After the first shots rang out , we waited patiently . After several small flocks of Teals and Ringers flew by I see them coming . I was the first to shoot , and dropped a Drake , 2nd was Danny he dropped another Drake . Well my hunt could off ended right there and I would off been happy . But it got better , I shot 4 Wigeons ( 3 Drakes 1 Hen ) Drake Ringer , and a Hen Shoveler . My buddies shot Ringers , Teals , Redhead hen , and Wigeon . We limited out and had a great day in the marsh .

Sunday was another good day . I was with my boy and a friend who had never duck hunted . As we waited for daylight I explained to him the scenario . He was next to me and did exactly as I had told him . We both limited out . I shot a Drake Mottled , 2 Hen Shoveler , and 3 Teals . He shot all Teals . My boy just watched this time , and made fun of the misses .

Awesome pics. Congrats!
I got to try duck hunting some day.
Awesome report!
Great pics and a great story, including family and friends. You aren't telling us where you were, but those scenes in the background could have been on the St. Johns between hiways 50 and 192, 40 years ago. Treefarmer
