So who is planning on whacking some quackers this year?
I'll be hitting the glades and the STA's
I will be hitting Lake Toho.
That's something I wouldn't mind trying again. We went one time in southwestern Louisiana when I was 15. Unfortunately the weather and wind wasn't in our favor, stayed a bit too warm and the birds were all flying high. Had a couple of stragglers come down to the decoys but they stayed just out of range. There were 8 or 10 of us out in the swamps that morning and not a shot was fired. The next weekend it turned cold and one of the guys that worked with my dad went back and got his limit. Looks like it could be a lot of fun if the birds cooperate!
Never tried it. I want to so if anyone has advice or tips it would be appreciated. I live in central Fl (Lake County) so if you know of any good spots.
