Thats funny, I was in Ocala Friday picking ours out. No papers or anything but were getting him for $150. Parents are duck retrievers and blood trailers so Im hoping this pup has some sense.

Woody got his first taste of blood trailing today. We both have some learning in this trailing issues. I should have put him on a leash so I could have slowed him down a little. I placed him on the trail and he took off like he had done this several times. The good thing is that he has really short legs and was easy to keep up with. It all happen so fast that I didn't get any pictures but I can claim 1 for 1 on recovery. Now I can use some training aids and do some real work on making a fine blood trailer. First question on this training thing is what s the best way to keep any of the blood? I'm thinking freeze small amounts and use as needed. what about using deer feet? Will this work as far as the blood trailing thing?
