I have a problem child, BRAT, she is about 3 months old and very independent. Took her to the wood last weekend and walked her for about 2 hours and she swam the creek, played in the mud hole with the kids, venured out in the woods out of my sight and on the way back I tried to catch her before we got to the road and couldn't. Well had the kids run around me, so I could get close enough to put my hands on her. If you put a leash on her she is awesome. Loves other dogs and not humans. Already got out of the dog yard and bayed this sow in our pasture. Any suggestions on getting her to come, food doesn't always work and I mess with her daily?

She's a really pretty dog. I have a cur pup about that age, but she's my only dog and she stays in the house, so I haven't had much trouble training her since I spend a bunch of time with her. No good advice to give, unfortunately.

I know her sister, littermate and she is as friendly. and have raised several curs but have never had this much problem. My gyp is not social at all. but will come to me when called. Brat just looks at you and goes about her merry way, unless you are attached, then she is very good. but thanks for the comment
