i went on that charter called double eagle, cause its way more affordable than fillin up a boat to go out 2 hrs into the ocean. they only charge $75 per person, but they have coupons u can print off that are good for $10 off, and if u bring ur own rig u dont have to use one of theirs so then its $7 off the price so it ends up bein only $58 dollars for an all day dep sea fishin trip. which aint bad at all. in my opinion

That's a deal! What do they give for bait, just squid? Was the boat very crowded?
Went out on a few "head boat" charters out of Destin when we lived up there. Always caught a good mess of fish. But we noticed the guys who brought their own rigs seemed to get hung up more often or tangled with other people, especially when the boat was full. If everybody used the boat gear, it all reacted to same to the current, drift, etc. But the guy with a different rig was all over the place. I've been down here over 11 years and haven't gone out on any head boats, been relying on the occasional trip with my dad out of Englewood. Might have to see what the fleet out of Sarasota is charging these days and make a trip out with them if it's reasonable. If not, might have to drive up to Clearwater!
