Got an invite from a new fishing buddy to go out and troll for wahoo, I have been wanting to fish with him to see how he rigs his lures and learn how to put out a proper trolling spread.
The plan was to meet in St. Augustine @ 4:00 A.M. navigate through the channel and be 50 plus miles, find the right water temp. out by the ledge, with lures out and trolling when the sun came up.
We didn't get our first hook-up until around 10, and turned out to be our only fish of the day, least we didn't get skunked.
It was a cold ride out and back in but for me it was more of a learning process and was happy with the results. Heres a pic of my other buddy Greg that came with me with the fish.
