The season always sneaks up on me and catches me unprepared. That being said I started shooting seriously this week and I am trying to shoot every other day until around the first of August and then go to every day. I dont necessarily shoot alot of arrows but at least a couple of rounds. This year before the season hits Im going to practice from my treestand alot more and from a sitting position so I dont get caught in that position when I am hunting. What are some of you guys regimens when it comes to preseason practice?
Set up a climber, ladder stand, and the ground blind at different distances on my range and shoot daily. I focus on one stand per session, and I normally shoot 4 to 5 arrows per round and switch targets after every round. I try to shoot at least 3-4 times a week for an hour each session until August. Then I go full bore to an hour a day with 3-4 hrs a day on the weekend.
I know that there are several shoots out there. I found a FB site that lists some of them. nocknload or something like that.
