Well after sitting here thinking I realized my spot in Brooksville is in Zone B which does not open for another month. Glad I didn't kill anything. Man,I sure in the heck don't know why they changed the season so close to my house,and I don't know what made me even realize they did.

Hwy 50 is the boundary. Are you N or S of it? If S, then you are in the new zone that hasn't begun yet
