Honestly, I think camo patterns are more geared to catch the eye of the hunter than they are to conceal you from game. What looks cool to us may stick out like a sore thumb to deer. I have some of all of it, but I will give my opinion. To me the best is the old regular swamp camo. The one that has been around forever. I have read some studies and it has the best reviews based on what a deer sees(Now it is the new digital camo that has the best reviews). Mossy oak is WAY too dark. I can pick someone out in the woods wearing it very easily. I have a friend who is 100% color blind, he has told me that Mossyoak to him stands out in the woods like blaze orange does to us. Now that I am poor, I am going to start buying all my camo at the army/navy surplus store

Why wear all the camo when you have to cover it with a blaze orange vest or jacket? I think the UV and smell on your clothes, along with noise, scares away more animals than the color or pattern you wear. Unless you're turkey hunting. Turkeys are very visual, and assimilate what they see 10 times faster than we do. But deer, hogs, bear, etc. rely on seeing movement, hearing and smell. They can also see UV reflections depending on the light conditions.

So if you're going to be sitting up in a stand, make sure to wash your clothes in something without "brighteners", or just in plain baking soda to eliminate UV glow. Use some kind of scent eliminator, too. You can also use other scents like doe pee to mask anything you didn't eliminate. Since most clothes made for hunting will come in some sort of camo, get what is comfortable and quiet in the woods, and provides the pockets, etc. that you need. Then sit still, be quiet, don't fart, and wait for old mossy-back to come by!

So i'm thinking the stuff at walmart will work as long as its realtree, quiet, has some good pockets, and not mossyoak.
Seen Walmart had some on blue light rack 50-75% off.
Thanks for the info
