I am working in portage, WI last week on sat the branch manger and i are talking about upcoming archery season. I said I carry my bow everywhere so I can shoot, so i go out to my truck grab my case and show him mathews dxt after he asks to see it. so I set the case on the counter open it he picks up my bow steps back and dry fires it before i can say anything and broke my top limb. I freaked but called a local bow shop where the owner said it was covered under warranty. at no cost cant wait to get it back love mathews service
That's pure luck on the part of your manager, cus a new set of limbs ain't cheap anyway you look at it. I can't believe that they covered it under warranty though, cus normally, damage from dry firing a bow isn't covered.
what an idiot. lucky he didn't get himself or you hurt. should have told him he would have to pay for the new limbs and make him sweat it out a bit.
That is the very reason if anyone ever wants to see my bow, I will keep one hand on it, and not let them hold it by themselves
what was the turn around time from mathews? I have a 1996 or so mathews featherweight that hasn't been shot since 02 and was thinking of sending it back to the factory to be checked out.
