A Burnsville man who wanted to play Rambo is accused of shooting arrows off his townhouse balcony. A glass door was shattered at one home and arrows are still stuck in other neighbors' walls.
Burnsville Police say 30-year-old Kyle Fletcher had a few too many drinks Saturday night before he started shooting.
Bill Stearns still can't believe his patio became a part of target practice.
"It's quite shocking. I have to laugh just to keep things in perspective," Stearns said.
Neighbors say at least three townhomes tucked away on River Woods Lane were hit by at least a dozen arrows.
Lul Hersi took a call from her sister on Saturday night who was scared she was in Fletcher's crosshairs.
"My sister said he was standing on the patio and aiming the arrow at her I thought she must be playing with me," Hersi said.
Neighbors say Fletcher used a broad head arrow. It's used to hunt bear and deer another reason police say Fletcher is lucky nobody was hurt or killed.
"It had to have been something very strong to wedge in the wall as it did. There's no way we could get the point out," Stearns said.
When police showed up Fletcher's girlfriend told them he wanted to "play Rambo" and when police asked Fletcher why he did it he said for "expletive and giggles."
"I'm glad me and my pets were upstairs and nowhere near it," Stearns said.
His neighbors aren't laughing. They hope Fletcher's trip to jail will be enough to keep him from coming back.
Fletcher's been charged with a felony for damaging property. He faces up to five years in prison if he's found guilty.
