I've had one of those tree umbrellas for a couple of years now and never used it until this weekend. It rained for a couple hours with no wind and I stayed dry for the most part. Gotta love it.
are you hunting this year gary?
My son heads for basic training Oct. 20th, so if we can get up to my dad's lease in Georgia the week before he leaves, we can hunt during ML season. With me just starting this new job, though, it will be tough to take any extended time off, so we'll have to leave on a Friday evening, and come back Sunday night. Otherwise, I might get up there to hunt my during the holidays.

They are a life saver in a drizzle. Now when we start getting the cold fronts with the sideways rain, forget about it and go to camp and brew coffee cause you aint staying dry under one of them
Also, at my lease it is mostly planted pines. So the afternoons you can get a sun tan in the stand. They provide a nice shade
them pines can be a killer in the sun.. rain is fine unless it is pouring. will get out of my tree and get in a shooting house till it lightens up. love stalking in a light rain.
