I'm going to pick everyones mind on this forum to become an ace !!! What hooks siZe an brand is the best? I used that bass assortment hook pack from walmart has maybe 50 hooks different types of bends all number 4 siZe an they didn't do to good this weekend I used 5 an notice a big difference on when I set compared to the 4s. I'm still haven't caught any bass on any kind of bait besides a plastic worm. I did get a good fight from a mudd fish on a chatter bait

5/0 owner or gamagatsu little pricey but very sharp

For worms and soft plastics IMO smaller is better. Thin shank 1/0 Owners are my go to hook for anything plastic.

I've always used tru-turn hooks,never had a problem with them.size 2 to 4.

For fishing horny toads and rubber worms, a 5/0 "wide gap" hook is the best by far. Your hook set ratio will go up with them. Guaranteed.
