I bought a aluminum boat fairly cheap I think anyway an the boat had some fiberglass work on the back by the transom guy promised no leaks or anything took it out packed up the truck as well expected to go fishing well boat has a 6 inch gash in the back on the floor between the transom wall an back bench seat. Anyone know any good aluminum welders?

They sell repair kits that have alloy rods that you can weld/braze with a mapp gas torch. Or flip the boat over grind the gash and fix with epoxy and Gorilla tape (temporary fix).

I fixed a leak in my jon boat with JB weld, that stuff is better than bailing wire.

They make some marine epoxy putty, can be applied even when underwater. Just rip a hunk off and knead it a few minutes until it's a uniform color, then put it where you need it. Sticks like :crap: to a baby blanket!

i use that putty for work sometimes. also have a wrap, like fiberglass, but is kevlar that can be put on underwater. works pretty good.
