Than just about anything short of a cow pasture pond mudfish. That's about all it could taste better than.

First I learn about people eating trigger fish on this forum ... now Jack and Peacock bass.. learn something new everyday.. would yall eat gar and mudfish too?

to me, you cant beat a good ole gar. a little tough, kinda like shrimp, mild white meat. although i dont shoot them unless they are in the 20-75lb range, rough to clean.
ive always heard they where boney, but due to there shell there skeleton is not advanced.. :chef

LOL i got the same reaction from another forum. The peacocks are great fighters and table fare. I didn't find anything wrong with the jack :tung
